In the 1st round, players Eric Villiafana and Axel Mejia played against Savanna opponents Branson and Andrew, both teams starting at 0-0. Savanna opponent, Andrew starts off at the baseline with a powerful serve that almost throws Axel off, but reacts with a backhand serve that leaves the opponent to think fast resulting in hitting the ball but falls out of bounds securing them a match point. Eric made sure their opponents didn't play any sneaky moves that would get the other team a point. Their opponents kept hitting the ball outside of bounds because they tried to catch Axel and Eric off guard, but that didn’t stop them from winning 6-1.

In the 2nd round, Estancia captain Zach Abramson played against Savanna opponent Raynhur S, playing singles and starting off 0-0. Zach dominates his opponent with his agility and swift serves to keep his opponent on his guard. Every time his opponent served or hit the ball, Zach was always prepared and effortlessly hit the ball, controlling the entire match. Leading to his opponent not knowing what his next move would be. Zach ended up winning his 2nd round 6-2 and winning his 1st and 3rd matches as well! After the round, Zach showed sportsmen's ship by saying "That was a good game, you’re really consistent.”

In the 3rd round, players Kevin Cerros and George Ocampo played against Savanna opponents Deen and Ameen starting off at 0-0. Halfway through their match the scores were almost tied, leaving Kevin and George to not make any mistakes that would result in loss. With their communication skills they were able to serve flawlessly without any problems ending the game 6-4.

Mid-game when taking a break Eric mentions that “We’re doing pretty well, a lot of people did just start this year and they’re doing pretty well. So I think we can achieve what we achieved last year, which was going to CIF and being league champions, I feel like we can do that this year again.”  Tennis’s season is showing an immense amount of success and as the team continues this streak, they’ll leave an unremarkable impact on themselves and Estancia. Estancia’s 15-3 victory against Savanna brings along promising results as the team develops, ensuring improvement that will lead the team to be able to push for CIF and achieve another league championship.
