Annika

Hi! I’m Annika Knox, the proud Editor-in-Chief of The Talon.
As the title suggests, a lot starts and ends with me — but I’m never doing it alone. I’m lucky to work with an amazing team of writers and editors who make this all possible. Everyone brings something unique to the table, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together.

But I’m not just about deadlines and headlines — I’m a huge music nerd and love being involved around campus. You’ll probably catch me cheering on friends at a game or finding stories in the middle of the chaos.

Thank you for supporting us. I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been working on. This is just the beginning — and I’m honored to be leading the way.

Jakob

Hi, I’m Jake, the sports editor for The Talon.

As Sports Editor, I get to cover some of the most exciting moments on campus, from game winning plays to standout athletes! I love talking about the sports we have here at Estancia.

Outside of The Talon, I’m an athlete myself, so you’ll probably find me on the basketball court or the baseball field. Sports have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m proud to be able to highlight the talent and hard work of our Eagle athletes.

Genevieve

Hi, I’m Genevieve, the News Editor here at The Talon. My job here at The Talon is being the second-in-command and overseeing all news reports, something I take great pride in.

The team and I have been working for a while on the dream to bring back The Talon, and least to say, it’s been great. The other editors have made everything we do here so worthwhile and I couldn’t be more grateful for all of their hard work.

I’m very outgoing, so if you see me around campus, don’t be a stranger! I’m a big bookworm and you can usually find me joking with friends or working hard at whatever project comes my way.

Hi! I’m Calista Ku, and I’m the media editor for The Talon. I’m super excited to be apart of the newspaper this year and help capture all the fun and important moments around campus. As media editor, I’m committed to making sure our stores truly come to life via photo and video.

Outside of The Talon, I’m in key club, ASB, Leos, and I’m the freshman class president. I like staying busy and being involved around campus. Whether its planning events , helping others, creating content for The Talon, I’m always excited to get involved!

Hi, I’m Dominic, but you can call me Dom! I’m the Arts and Entertainment Editor for The Talon. I cover everything related to art, music, film, and culture here at Estancia High and around our city. My specialties include writing reviews and profiles that highlight the creative side of our community.

A little about me—I’m a student-athlete and play baseball here at Estancia. I’m also a proud member of the Lyceum Academy, which is an incredible honor.
