Estancia High school was said to be built on an ancient Indian burial ground.

Long before the construction of Estancia, this property was an ancient indigenous burial ground. Mr. Conley inferred that this may have led as to why we can hear walking in the halls even when nobody is there, why sometimes the lights tend to flicker, and also why you hear static radio noises
These things may have led to the redesign of the science court, which was generally the main place of the burial site. One of the old science teachers at Estancia would take the bones he found from Estancia and instead of returning them to the state in order to return them back to the tribe, he decided to hold on to them, which is believed to be the reason for why we are cursed.
When they retrieved the child´s body and got him out of the water, his body looked like it had been in the pool for a lot longer than they initially thought.

Another incident that happened here was a young child that died in the old Estancia pool. For a while the kid was missing, they couldn't find his body anywhere. They made everyone get out of the water to search for the child, but then eventually someone noticed the child floating not on the surface but he was on the bottom of the pool floor. When they retrieved the child´s body and got him out of the water, his body looked like it had been in the pool for a lot longer than they initially thought. This was thought to have been the reason why the pool was then relocated. It´s said that if you go out into the courtyard in the early morning or when it's foggy, you can hear the child´s feet paddling.
One other thing that has happened is that over by the construction area, there used to be a boiler room. It was said that there was an old janitor that had lost their life out there. Some say that he was burned from the boiler or had a heart attack inside the room. And now when the heater turns on in the winter time, you can hear knocking noises throughout the system, as if someone was trapped and trying to get out. When you go to turn on the heat, sometimes you get hit with a weird smell, some say it could be a raccoon or a rat but some think it's the smell of a decaying body in the system.

At night Estancias Hallway is rumored to be haunted by two deceased science teachers and the spirits of the Native Americans who were buried under the school.

If these incidents don't make you think ghosts aren't real, I don't know what will. It is perfectly safe here at Estancia, but it's fascinating to hear these different stories that happened here. Next time you hear or smell something that seems off, it may not be a coincidence.
