Although small and tucked away, That Boba Place is a great spot to relax and hang out with your friends. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with welcoming and delightful staff and a vibrant area. The cozy and warm atmosphere make it a perfect place to spend an afternoon, whether you’re looking for a chat with a friend or an independent study session.

Though I was disappointed when the staff failed to accept an interview when asked, they are attentive and welcoming, making the experience more enjoyable. They quickly took orders and began preparing the drinks and food immediately. Alvin Garay shared, “The staff was very helpful and there wasn’t a long wait, they got through people quickly.” The efficiency and great attitude turned the situation into a fantastic experience rather than a potential letdown.
While the menu has a wide variety of choices - from strong fruity drinks to strong caffeine and actual meals to deserts/snacks - what stands out is their ‘Salt N’ Pepper Chicken’ and ‘Brown Sugar Milk Tea’. Freshly made, increasing the quality, the chicken was crispy and flavorful. It had the right amount of seasoning and an alterable level of spice. The milk tea is perfectly balanced, not too sweet and not too bitter with a latte aftertaste. Marguax Johnston says “Everything there is really good and they have such a wide variety.” She also shared that everything is “fairly priced”.
Overall, the cleanliness of the place adds to the experience, making it a relaxing time spent there.

All items on the menu range from $5-10, depending on what you order. The items are reasonably priced when considering the quality and plenty of options on the menu. When compared to more casual spots, it might be a little more expensive but is generally affordable for a specialty drink and meal.
The tea house is kept clean and maintained, everything is in order and looks organized. There’s no dust on the furniture, as it is wiped down regularly. The restrooms are spotless with soap always available which makes the environment hygienic and comfortable. The staff keeps the place neat and clean. Overall, the cleanliness of the place adds to the experience, making it a relaxing time spent there.
