Girls Soccer League!

With just one loss during the season, the Estancia girls varsity soccer team secured a league title of first place and earned another trip to CIF, continuing a dominant run fueled by resilience, chemistry, and trust.

The Eagles navigated a season filled with high pressure moments but constantly rose to the challenge. Their ability to stay focused under pressure became a defining trait, helping them push through difficulties and position themselves for a second straight CIF Championship run.

While talent played a role, team chemistry proved to be the foundation of Estancia’s success. From coaching leadership to player accountability, every individual contributed. Coach Josh pointed to that connection as a key factor, saying “ “I thought we had good chemistry. The group got along really well, I felt, this year. And so that always makes everything else become easier when the group becomes connected and friends on the team.”

Senior team captain Abby McIntyre echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the importance of trust within a squad, saying, “Team chemistry is huge because when we trust each other, we play better together. Wins and losses are a team effort, so we need to work together and support each other no matter the situation.” Her words reflect the mindset that carried Estancia through a competitive season.

One of the season's defining moments came when Estancia bounced back from its only loss against Fountain Valley and played against school rival Costa Mesa High School, winning that game. Camila Flores, a player on the varsity girls soccer team, highlighted the Battle of the Bell as a turning point. “A moment that really stands out to me was winning Battle of the Bell. That win meant a lot because you could see how hard everyone worked together throughout the match. The intensity was high from start to finish, and it showed how much effort, teamwork, and dedication we put into earning that win.”

As the Eagles continue their CIF run, their success reflects more than wins.  Built on trust, chemistry, and shared effort, Estancia has proven that its strength lies in playing for one another. A formula that has carried them through the season and kept their championship goal within reach.
